GreTel Engineering was founded in 2018 by Elizabeth A. Telfer, PE. GreTel Engineering is a structural engineering consulting firm offering services including engineering design, forensic investigation, structural analysis, building information modeling, drafting, and construction support to clients on projects of every size and complexity. GreTel Engineering's mission is to provide unparalleled customer service to its clients, no matter the size of the job or fee. GreTel Engineering's goal is to ensure every client has confidence that their job was done right, the first time.
GreTel Engineering is pursuing certification as a Women-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) in New York State and certification as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) through the United States Department of Transportation. With these certifications, GreTel Engineering will be able to support other architectural and engineering firms, contractors, and municipal agencies to meet WBE and DBE contract requirements.

Elizabeth A. Telfer, PE
Elizabeth has extensive structural engineering experience, including the design of structural steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry; new construction and renovation; and residential, commercial, and industrial projects. She has experience detailing construction documents and developing specifications. She collaborates with other engineers, architects, and clients during schematic design, design development, construction document, bidding, and construction administration phases of projects.

Work Experience
In December of 2013, Elizabeth joined Delta Engineers, Architects, and Land Surveyors, DPC as a Structural Engineer in the Facilities Group. She collaborated with the project team to develop design solutions on non‐routine and complex projects which were incorporated into contract documents. She developed design parameters, project scope, and man-hour estimates during the proposal stage. She was promoted to Project Engineer in the beginning of 2015 and then to a Project Manager in the beginning of 2017. In her new roles she managed projects of multiple delivery methods including design‐bid‐build and design‐build. She was responsible for project financial performance and managed approximately $400K in gross revenue in 2017. Additionally, she was responsible for contract negotiation, invoicing, and collection of unpaid receivables.
From 2012 to 2013, Elizabeth worked as a Structural Designer for Keystone Architects, Engineers and Surveyors, LLC in Binghamton, NY. She performed engineering design and analysis for new construction and renovations, coordinated with other engineers, architects, and clients during design and construction phases of projects, and performed special inspections of reinforced concrete and structural steel structures.
From 2011 to 2012, Elizabeth worked as a Junior Civil Engineer for Lowe, Gravelle and Associates, Intl. in Massena, NY. She analyzed steel and aluminum electrical towers, developed a fall protection plan for a million-gallon tank inspection, coordinated chemical laboratory renovations, and designed manufacturing plant work platforms.
From 2010 to 2011, Elizabeth worked as a Junior Structural Engineer for McLaren Engineering Group in West Nyack, NY in the entertainment division. She performed structural analysis and design of concert stages and scenery, performed theater grid load ratings, and assessed existing buildings for the addition of solar panels.
